TEK also known as the Technology, Entertainment & Knowledge has been designed by Danish firm Bjarke Ingels Group and is located in Taipei, Taiwan.
TEK has a cube-shaped structure with round voids cut from its volume, that looks just like holes, and creates a spiral within the volume, forming a staircase that allows the access from street level into the building and up to its roof. Also, the stepped areas can provide informal seating areas for visitors.
TEK Taipei is a single superfunctional entity that will consolidate exhibition spaces, showrooms, retail space, a market place and hotel, offices and conference rooms all related to media.
